Become a lifeguard with the training and certification in lifeguarding, first aid and CPR needed for the professional rescuer. Receive coaching and mentoring from City employees.They also protect swimmers, alongside City lifeguards. Junior Lifeguard Job Shadow - teens help with swim lessons. Training is offered once during the summer season. It is a prerequisite for the Job Shadow camp. Junior Lifeguard Training Camp - teaches teens water safety and basic rescue skills. Get trained and then get paid to be a lifeguard for Sunnyvale Aquatics. Lifeguards are an essential part of keeping our aquatic facilities safe year-round.

During their swim lessons, children will spend time on the following six levels: Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills.
